OverviewA leading Construction and Facilities Management contractor is seeking an experienced and fully qualified Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. This is a mobile role working across a range of commercial sites across Edinburgh, delivering high-quality servicing, repairs, and installations of HVAC as part of planned and reactive maintenance.ResponsibilitiesUndertake service, maintenance, and repair of:Split air conditioning systemsVRV/VRF systemsAir Handling Units (AHUs) & Heat pumpsRefrigeration equipment including chilled cabinets, multidecks, and ice machinesInterpret installation designs and use manufacturer-specific troubleshooting proceduresComplete inspection reports, maintenance logs, and remedial work records accurately and on timeAdhere to all Permit to Work procedures, Health & Safety protocols, and safe systems of workWork both independently and as part of a teamCommunicate effectively with clients and internal teams, using PDA or handheld device for job updatesParticipate in the emergency on-call rotaRequirementsFull current UK driving licenceF-Gas & ODS Regulations (Category 1 – 2079)Time-served apprenticeship in Air Conditioning/RefrigerationCity & Guilds Level 3 / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant field (HVAC, Refrigeration, Mechanical)Proven experience in Maintenance or Facilities Management environmentHands-on experience with AC systems and refrigeration equipmentUnderstanding of Health & Safety legislationFamiliarity with Permit to Work systems and safe working practiceComfortable with manual work, heights, and confined spacesAble to use handheld devices for reportingStrong verbal and written communication skillsSelf-motivated and solution-focused mindsetBenefitsCompetitive salary, dependent on experienceFully expensed company van and fuel cardCompany pension scheme24 days annual leave (+ public holidays)Overtime and call-out paymentsTraining and professional development opportunities #J-18808-Ljbffr
