A leading Construction and Facilities Management contractor is seeking an experienced and fully qualified Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. This is a mobile role working across a range of commercial sites across Edinburgh, delivering high-quality servicing, repairs, and installations of HVAC as part of planned and reactive maintenance works.\n\nReponsibilities:\n\n * Undertake service, maintenance, and repair of:\n\n * Split air conditioning systems\n\n * VRV/VRF systems\n\n * Air Handling Units (AHUs) & Heat pumps\n\n * Refrigeration equipment including chilled cabinets, multidecks, and ice machines\n\n * Interpret installation designs and use manufacturer-specific troubleshooting procedures\n\n * Complete inspection reports, maintenance logs, and remedial work records accurately and on time\n\n * Adhere to all Permit to Work procedures, Health & Safety protocols, and safe systems of work\n\n * Work both independently and as part of a team\n\n * Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams, using PDA or handheld device for job updates\n\n * Participate in the emergency on-call rota\n\nRequirements:\n\n * Full current UK driving licence\n\n * F-Gas & ODS Regulations (Category 1 – 2079)\n\n * Time-served apprenticeship in Air Conditioning/Refrigeration\n\n * City & Guilds Level 3 / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant field (HVAC, Refrigeration, Mechanical)\n\n * Proven experience in Maintenance or Facilities Management environment\n\n * Hands-on experience with AC systems and refrigeration equipment\n\n * Understanding of Health & Safety legislation\n\n * Familiarity with Permit to Work systems and safe working practice\n\n * Comfortable with manual work, heights, and confined spaces\n\n * Able to use handheld devices for reporting\n\n * Strong verbal and written communication skills\n\n * Self-motivated and solution-focused mindset\n\nBenefits Package\n\n * Competitive salary, dependant on experience\n\n * Fully expensed company van and fuel card\n\n * Company pension scheme\n\n * 24 days annual leave (+ public holidays)\n\n * Overtime and call-out payments\n\n * Training and professional development opportunities\n\nThis is a permanent position, and Coleman James are acting as an Employment Agency
