OverviewUK Military Flying Training System (Rotary Wing) Airworthiness Engineer - Fixed Term Contract Shawbury — Reports to UK MFTS (RW) Deputy Continuing Airworthiness Manager (Shawbury).AHUK is the MoD’s chosen provider of helicopters and maintenance for its Defence Helicopter Flying School (MFTS) at RAF Shawbury and RAF Valley. AHUK offers experience in helicopter sales, bespoke completions, maintenance and spares support, with in-house engineering capabilities including design, customisation, installation, flight-testing, certification, technical support, maintenance, training and the supply of spares for civil and military applications.Applicants must demonstrate the right to remain and work in the UK.ResponsibilitiesThe Airworthiness Engineer is responsible for providing Part CAMO Airworthiness Support within the CAMO Department.The main responsibilities include: periodic review of Aircraft Maintenance Programmes against fleet maintained aircraft; implement/validate changes to the Maintenance Programmes in the MIS arising from AMP revisions to ensure compliance with aircraft configuration.Monitor and implement actions arising from applicability requirements identified during incoming airworthiness data reviews.Review technical information from Regulatory Authorities and OEMs in a timely and consistent manner, including Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins.Be acceptable to the UK CAA to hold a form 4 position (ARC Signatory).Provide input to H135/H145 presentations for the MFTS CAMR.Generate AD/SB compliance reports to support Aircraft Audits and Airworthiness Reviews.Provide a proactive approach to repetitive defect analysis and reporting.Perform other airworthiness activities as directed by the Deputy Continuing Airworthiness Manager in support of the MFTS operation.1Knowledge and SkillsESSENTIALThorough knowledge of EASA regulations relating to Part CAMO and Part 145 Airworthiness and Maintenance requirements.Experience with SAP and ERP software.DESIRABLEKnowledge of Airbus H135/H145 product.Understanding of EASA Part 21 Subparts G and J, including associated AMC material.Education, Qualifications or Special TrainingESSENTIALFormalised EASA Part 145 and Part CAMO training.Human factors Initial training completed.DESIRABLEHND in Aviation related discipline.ExperienceESSENTIAL3 years’ experience in an Airworthiness role, specific to EASA Part CAMO activities.DESIRABLEPrevious experience as an Aircraft Engineer (EASA Part 66 Licenced preferred) or 5 years of experience within a Continued Airworthiness Management environment.Experience of Military Aviation.Key performance indicatorsTo be developedOther requirementsTRAVEL — Initially based in Oxford to undergo training in AHUK process and procedures.Reward and BenefitsIn joining the Airbus family, you will play a part in delivering the most efficient helicopters for its customers.
