Analytics Engineer role at LIV Golf. The LIV Golf League is the world’s only global golf league featuring 13 teams and a 14-tournament schedule, launched in 2022 to expand the sport globally and create new value in the golfing ecosystem. LIV Golf Investments aims to make holistic and sustainable investments to enhance the global golf ecosystem.

Role objective / The team

As an Analytics Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and scaling our data platform. You’ll design and implement robust data warehouse architecture using the Medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold) model, support data transformation pipelines, and enable business insights through reliable and governed BI assets. You will collaborate across engineering, analytics, and business teams to deliver trustworthy and actionable data, primarily through BigQuery, dbt, and Tableau.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and maintain a scalable and modular data warehouse architecture using the Medallion model (Bronze/Silver/Gold layers) in BigQuery
• Build, test, and deploy dbt/dataform models with well-documented and reusable SQL-based transformations
• Implement and optimise BI dashboards and data products using Tableau, working closely with business stakeholders to translate needs into visual insights
• Orchestrate and monitor data pipelines, ensuring data quality and timely delivery
• Integrate data quality checks and observability
• Maintain and evolve data cataloguing and lineage
• Drive CI/CD practices using GitHub Actions or similar, ensuring smooth code review, testing, and deployment processes
• Support data governance and documentation efforts, contributing to a high-trust data environment
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and product managers to continuously improve platform capabilities and analytics maturity
• Liaise with internal business units and own the roadmap for the delivery of data products and analytics features
• Work closely with and help in the management of third parties

Required Skills

• Proven experience in data warehousing and transformation using BigQuery and dbt or dataform
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of modern data architecture principles, especially the Medallion architecture
• Hands-on experience with Tableau for enterprise-grade dashboard development and storytelling
• Familiarity with data pipeline orchestration tools like Prefect, Airflow or others
• Experience with data quality and observability frameworks
• Experience with data lineage and metadata tools
• Proficiency in Git and managing code repositories using GitHub; understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Familiarity with Python for scripting and automation
