Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Application Infrastructure Support Engineer to join our team on a 12-month contract.

The role involves supporting environment setup, patching, connectivity, and job scheduling, while working closely with application and infrastructure teams in a leading bank environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to ensure timely execution of setup tasks.
  • Assist in coordinating operating system upgrades and patching activities across environments.
  • Support the setup of Connect:Direct for secure file transfers and assist in SSH key generation.
  • Support the creation, scheduling, and monitoring of Control-M jobs, including troubleshooting and reporting.
  • Provision and configure development, testing, and production environments.
  • Contribute to automation and CI/CD using Jenkins, Bitbucket, and other DevOps tools.
  • Track infrastructure-related tasks and follow up with stakeholders.
  • Provide troubleshooting support for incidents and issues.
  • Document environment specifications, connectivity configurations, and upgrade procedures.

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in IT infrastructure/application support, preferably in a banking environment.
  • Knowledge of Windows & Linux/Unix systems, networking concepts, and databases (MSSQL, Oracle).
  • Hands-on experience with job scheduling tools (Control-M).
  • Proficiency in scripting (Shell, PowerShell, SQL, batch).
  • Understanding of secure connectivity protocols (SSH, Connect:Direct).
  • Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Git.
  • Strong problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.
