Our client is a global leader in HVAC and refrigeration technology, recognised for delivering innovative, high-performance solutions across food retail, industrial, and commercial applications. They are now looking for an Application Sales Engineer to join their UK team at their Chessington office.
This is an office-based role that combines customer support, technical application design, and internal collaboration. You will be responsible for providing pre- and post-sales technical support, preparing proposals, and working closely with both the sales team and clients to ensure the correct specification of products and solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical and commercial support to sales teams and customers
Prepare project proposals, quotations, and product selections using internal tools
Assist with HVAC/R application design and specification
Support customers with queries on product performance, controls, and integration
Liaise with internal teams across sales, technical, service, and operations to deliver solutions
Manage project pipelines and update CRM systems
Contribute to continuous improvement, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience in a technical support or application engineering role, ideally within HVAC or refrigeration
Strong technical understanding of refrigeration and air conditioning systems, including CO₂ and industrial applications
Knowledge of thermodynamics, psychrometrics, and associated control systems is highly beneficial
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to customers and colleagues
Competency in proposal writing and use of CRM or project tracking systems
A proactive, problem-solving approach and willingness to work collaboratively
