As a Security Engineer, you will collaborate closely with software development teams to design, build, and review secure services. Your responsibilities include identifying security issues in code and architecture, implementing security tooling, and contributing to frameworks that enable secure software development at scale.

This role is suitable for individuals with strong technical fundamentals in application security and a desire to expand their expertise across security domains. You should be comfortable with technical problem-solving, collaborating with engineers, and applying your knowledge to real-world security challenges. Continuous learning and skill development are encouraged.

Key responsibilities

• Creating, updating, and maintaining threat models for various software projects.
• Manual and automated secure code reviews, primarily in Java, Python, and JavaScript.
• Building and maintaining security automation tools to improve coverage and efficiency.
• Conducting adversarial security analysis to identify vulnerabilities.
• Providing security training and outreach for internal development teams.
• Offering security architecture and design guidance.
• Investigating and resolving security issues, proposing innovative solutions when standard approaches are insufficient.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience with threat modeling, secure coding, identity management, authentication, cryptography, system administration, or network security.
• Experience applying threat modeling or risk identification techniques.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent, or equivalent engineering experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Information security professional certifications.
• Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP.
• Experience building and securing complex AWS architectures.
