The company is an established and growing engineering software business that has grown considerably recently and is looking to strengthen its engineering manufacturing/production software team further.

Job Description

The role requires an excellent understanding of CNC programming and experience with advanced mill-turn, sliding head, and 5-axis machines. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of one or more modern CAM systems, such as SolidCAM, CAMWorks, Fusion 360, Mastercam, EDGEcam, hyperMILL, or DELMIA. Knowledge of at least one mainstream machine controller, such as FANUC, HEIDENHAIN, or Siemens, is essential.

Responsibilities will include implementing CAM software solutions, writing and commissioning custom post-processor G-codes, delivering training and product demonstrations, and providing CAM consultancy programming services. The candidate will also be required to meet with stakeholders, support customers with technical queries, and have strong communication and presenting skills.

Requirements

  • Excellent understanding of CNC programming
  • Experience with advanced mill-turn, sliding head, and 5-axis machines
  • Deep knowledge of one or more modern CAM systems
  • Knowledge of at least one mainstream machine controller
  • Prior experience in writing and editing post-processor G-code
  • Strong communication and presenting skills
  • Full, valid UK driving licence
  • Willing and able to travel to one of the offices at least twice per week
  • Right to work in the UK indefinitely

Benefits

The package includes a basic salary of £28,000 - £35,000, depending on experience, plus a 12% personal bonus, company bonus, £6k car allowance, and hybrid working role split between office, home, and customer sites. Additional benefits include pension, mobile, laptop/tablet, healthcare, and 25 days holiday plus stats.
