Are you passionate about technical support and driving sales in the manufacturing industry? Join a growing team in Ilminster as an Applications Engineer, where you'll play a vital role in providing expert technical consultation and helping customers find the right solutions for their needs.

About the Role:

As an Applications Engineer, you will be the primary technical point of contact for customers, working closely with the Sales and Business Development teams. Your technical expertise will support pre-sales efforts, help evaluate RFQs, and guide clients toward effective manufacturing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical and pre-sales support for customers in the manufacturing industry.
• Act as a trusted technical consultant, understanding client requirements and offering tailored solutions.
• Collaborate with Product Management to assess pricing and margin models on customer RFQs.
• Travel to customer sites as needed to offer on-site support and advice (approx. 25% travel).

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a technical support or sales role within manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant software tools.
