Overview

Area Sales Engineer — Industrial Electrical Control and Automation. Good negotiable salary dependent upon experience, plus Company Car, Pension and other benefits. This role is field-based and involves selling a range of high-quality Industrial Automation products to OEMs, End Users, System Integrators and Panel Builders across the East Midlands.

Location: Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire (with good road access to service the territory). Post codes used are for advertising purposes only.

Responsibilities

• Sell a range of Industrial Automation products, including Control Gear, Switchgear and Circuit Protection, Variable Speed Drives, Sensors, PLCs, HMI and other control system components.
• Develop and manage a portfolio of existing accounts while identifying new business opportunities to achieve defined sales targets.
• Create and execute a personal sales plan to meet objectives, balancing autonomy with effective teamwork.
• Utilize Microsoft packages and maintain strong organizational and communication skills to support sales activities.
• Represent the company professionally to OEMs, End Users, System Integrators and Panel Builders across the territory.

Qualifications

• Experience in the Industrial Automation industry with a proven sales track record.
• A formal electrical/electronic qualification to ONC or equivalent is a plus, though not strictly required.
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge and capability to sell in the industrial electrical and control and automation sector.
• Willingness to build and develop sales skills through career development training is advantageous.
