OverviewArea Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager in Industrial Electrical Control and Automation. Excellent negotiable salary dependent upon experience, plus benefits (car, pension, buy/sell holidays, and more).On behalf of our client, this role is for an experienced sales professional with a proven track record in the Electrical Control and Automation industry to drive business development in the North of the Tyne area.ResponsibilitiesSell a range of high quality Industrial Automation products, including PLCs, Control Gear, Switchgear and Circuit Protection, Variable Speed Drives, Sensors, HMI and Process Instrumentation.Target OEMs, End Users, System Integrators and Panel Builders across the North of the Tyne area (including North Shields, Whitley Bay, Wallsend, Longbenton, Jesmond, Cramlington, Blyth, etc.).Develop and manage an existing portfolio of accounts while identifying new business opportunities to achieve defined sales targets.Create and execute a personal sales plan, demonstrating organization, initiative and autonomy as part of a team.Demonstrate knowledge of the Industrial Automation sector and maintain strong communication with customers and internal teams; proficient with Microsoft packages.QualificationsSales experience in the Industrial Automation industry with a track record of success; knowledge of PLCs, control gear, switchgear, VSDs, sensors, HMI and process instrumentation is advantageous.A formal qualification in Electrical/Electronic discipline to ONC/HND or above is desirable but not essential; ability to demonstrate knowledge and sales ability if not held.Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to work effectively as part of a team with a degree of autonomy.Location & AreaArea coverage in the North of the Tyne area, including North Shields, Whitley Bay, Wallsend, Longbenton, Jesmond, Cramlington, Blyth, and surrounding areas.
