We’re working with a growing consultancy in Birmingham who are looking for an Assistant Civil Engineer to join their expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with early career experience who’s keen to learn, develop, and progress within a supportive environment.
You’ll work alongside experienced engineers on a wide range of infrastructure projects, gaining exposure to highways and drainage, while receiving the training and guidance needed to take your career to the next level.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting the production of drawings, calculations, and design documents
- Learning and developing skills in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Causeway Flow, KeySign, and Lighting Reality
- Assisting with site visits and reviews of constraints during the design and construction stages
- Working closely with project engineers and senior staff to deliver high-quality infrastructure schemes
- Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering
- Early experience in highways, drainage, or general civil design
- Enthusiasm to learn design software and apply technical standards
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- A positive communicator with ambition to grow within a thriving team
Salary: £27,000 - £34,000
