  • Experience required… 

    Essential: 

  • A relevant Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, or Foundation Degree/HNC/HND together with sufficient post qualification experience
  • Experience in highway maintenance techniques and in identifying pavement treatments and solutions 
  • Asset management and construction experience within the highway sector
  • Experience in undertaking asset condition surveys
  • Commercial awareness in the delivery of projects
  • Knowledge of highway design guidance and standards including Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, Manual for Streets, LTN 1/20 (Low Traffic Neighbourhood), TSRGD (Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions), MCDHW and other relevant codes of practice and design standards
  • Understanding of Health & Safety & Environment in design and construction
  • Awareness of CDM (Construction Design Management) 2015 regulations
  • Computer literate particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Competent user of AutoCAD & Civil 3D (desirable)
  • Full UK/EEC driving licence
