OverviewHPConsulting Services specialises in the application of innovative solutions to engineering problems. We dedicate our services to the design and manufacture of balance tooling and associated equipment for the aerospace industry, with satisfied customers worldwide, including Rolls-Royce plc, GE Aviation, Pratt & Whitney.The position will be as an Assistant Design Engineer and they will work in a small team to contribute to the everyday running of a demanding design and build company. The work will require design input, contact with contractors when required and the discussion of potential designs with customers. ResponsibilitiesProducing detailed technical drawings, using CAD programs such as SOLIDWORKS.Creation of Solid Models and Assemblies.Supervision of and manufacturing of products designed.Research to optimise design solutions.Specify materials, finishes and manufacturing techniques to conform to the company’s standard.Co-ordinating delivery for manufacture and final distribution.Control of budget for buying of parts and components.Commissioning of tooling.Keeping project files and drawings up to date. QualificationsApplicant must hold an engineering degree.We are looking for a hard working and dedicated individual who is willing to put effort in, to make a difference, in all aspects, of a busy design environment.
