Overview

Associate Combat Systems Engineer at QinetiQ Target Systems - United Kingdom, Portsmouth site. 37 hours per week, hybrid working pattern available. Travel to other QinetiQ and customer sites will be expected.

Role involves integration, test, evaluation and acceptance activities across the equipment lifecycle to support the development and delivery of operationally effective Combat System capability. You will work within the NCSISS (Naval Combat Systems Integration Support Service) team to deliver engineering outputs and associated customer communications.

Responsibilities

  • Execute key systems engineering activities on significant projects
  • Engage with external and internal stakeholders to ensure customer and business needs are satisfied and issues are mitigated
  • Direct technical documentation in support of work carried out
  • Deliver work and report progress to project leads and customers
  • Conduct sea trials on Royal Navy ships, including potential overseas activities
  • Develop test plans, conduct integration, and produce supporting evidence for customer use

Essential Experience

  • Relevant experience in an aligned engineering field
  • Proven experience on Naval Combat Systems or Radar, Sonar, C2 or Weapons
  • Experience in Test & Evaluation or Integration

Essential Qualifications

  • Honours Degree in Engineering, Physics or similar. HNC/D Level qualification acceptable with appropriate experience

This role is based at Portsmouth site with hybrid working options. Travel to other QinetiQ and customer sites will be expected.
