Overview

In this position, we are writing the blocks to build a service that people across Sage will work with. We are looking for an Engineer who is curious about security and loves to know what\'s going on \"under the hood\". You enjoy being naturally inquisitive and analytical, and you may have taken apart a TV to see how it worked. If this sounds like you, you would likely enjoy working on SageID, our strategic identity solution.

Responsibilities

• Build, improve and maintain security-critical services within the Shared Services team.
• Own the full lifecycle of the service, including design, development, testing, deployment and operations.
• Collaborate with Engineers, QAs and Architects; learn on the job; contribute to exciting, non-"run of the mill" projects.
• Work in a hybrid environment (3 days a week from the Manchester office).

Qualifications

• Relevant commercial software engineering experience with recent .NET Core and C#.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms (e.g., Azure); experience with relational and non-relational databases and RESTful API design.
• DevOps mindset with the desire to manage the full lifecycle of the service.
• Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, and/or Extreme Programming methodologies.
