Overview

The Keegans Group are looking for an Associate Fire Risk Assessor within the Compliance and Safety Team. This is a full time/permanent position with a preference for someone in London but will consider applications nationwide.

Responsibilities

  • Complete Fire Safety Risk Assessments at client properties in line with current guidance and in accordance with the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and any recent advice notes related to Fire Risk.
  • Maintain CPD through self-learning and attending courses as available to ensure the level of knowledge remains current as applicable to all Fire Safety Risk Assessments.
  • Adhere fully to the BAFE SP205 QA System requirements as described within the Keegans SP2-5 Quality Manual and Procedures documents.
  • Plan, manage and complete all site survey work and reporting in accordance with Keegans SP205 QA System requirements.
  • Complete validation review and sign off all Keegans FSRA Reports.
  • Maintain the Quality Management System and Procedures relating to Fire Safety projects across the Division.
  • Prepare fee proposals and contribute to the completion of tender documents/fee bids.
  • Prepare and issue monthly client invoices.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum level 3 Award in Fire Risk Assessment.
  • Registered Assessor on a national register.
  • A good number of years experience undertaking FRAs on a wide variety of residential property types, low and high-rise, sheltered accommodation and ideally experience of commercial surveys in corporate properties and schools.
  • A good knowledge of the current Fire Safety legislation and associated standards.
  • Knowledge and understanding of technical experience and practical application.
  • Effective time and diary management.
  • Ability to make executive commercial basis decisions (cost/quantity).
  • Able to influence, coach and mentor.
  • Technical and report writing experience.
  • Extensive IT knowledge, skills and experience in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and Project.
  • An accredited engineering/surveying related degree is desirable.
