Role Overview

Due to our growing portfolio an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate Fire Engineer to join us in Manchester. This is an opportunity to join a well-established multi-disciplinary team of consultants who provide Fire Safety guidance and advice to clients in both the public and private sectors. We offer a wide range of consultancy Fire safety services to our clients including:

  • Fire Engineering Services
  • Fire Compartmentation Surveys
  • Fire Quality Monitoring
  • Fire Remediation Project/Programme Management
  • Fire Risk Assessments
  • Building Safety Management/Building Safety Act Management

This role is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter to provide fire consultancy services from within our existing team.

Role Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Partner, duties will include (but not limited to):
  • Assist/Manage a team of fire consultants
  • Provide advice to the Partner
  • Assist in the completion of PQQ/bid documents
  • Provide quality assurance and compliance to the clients
  • Visit sites to provide a broad range of fire consultancy services
  • Provide Fire advice, guidance and training across the client base
  • Liaising with Enforcing Authorities on behalf of clients when required
  • Advising clients on matters of Fire Safety standards and best practice affecting their business
  • Develop the Fire Consultancy Service and assist in providing management financial reporting

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive approach to the role, delivering customer service excellence with good commercial results. They will be passionate about fire safety and strive to provide the utmost quality on every commission.

Qualifications

  • Level 5 minimum qualification achieved in Fire Discipline

Experience

  • Robust knowledge of UK fire safety legislation
  • Strong technical delivery experience
  • Membership of IFE / IFSM or equivalent
  • Ability to successfully direct and manage complex projects in a proactive and diligent manner
  • Track record in successful line management and development of team members
  • Experience with developing new relationships and securing new business
  • Client facing, ensuring high standards of technical delivery
  • Able to build long-term client relationships
  • Experience of prioritising workloads and delivering deadlines
  • A team player, outgoing, flexible and motivated
