What you'll do

  • Contribute to the design, development and maintenance of high-quality systems that support Flagstone's business objective
  • Learn how our systems are architected and explain the "how and why" behind technical decisions as your understanding grows
  • Work closely with engineers, product managers, and other teams to solve business challenges with technology
  • Write clean, maintainable code, supported by testing and good development practices
  • Take part in code reviews, learn from feedback, and contribute your own ideas
  • Collaborate within your squad to deliver features from design through to deployment
  • Develop your skills through hands-on work, mentorship, and training opportunities, with a clear pathway to grow your engineering career

What you'll bring

At the associate level, what matters most is your ability to write code, eagerness to learn, and curiosity to solve problems. Exposure to some of the areas below is advantageous, but not required for all:

  • Commercial development experience with C# / .Net / .Net Core
  • Front-end coding ability with JavaScript, CSS, HTML and React
  • Experience of cloud development and a cloud-first approach
  • Awareness of SOLID and knowledge of Domain Driven Design principles (an advantage)
  • Experience of RESTful API Design and authentication with OAUTH
  • TDD experience
  • Awareness of Event Driven Architectures or distributed systems coupled via messaging
  • Experience with SQL Server and T-SQL
  • Practical experience using JavaScript and ReactJS is advantageous but not essential
