Our client is seeking an experienced Associate Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Manchester. This role will suit someone with a strong background in mechanical building services design, proven client-facing experience, and the ability to lead projects across multiple sectors. Youll be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, delivering sustainable and innovative engineering solutions on complex developments.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer with progression into senior/associate level

• Track record of delivering projects in sectors such as residential, commercial, healthcare, science & research, or data centres

• Consultancy experience essential

• Strong working knowledge of UK building regulations and British Standards

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver mechanical designs across a range of project types and sizes

• Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and project stakeholders

• Define and agree project briefs, ensuring profitable and high-quality outcomes

• Manage and mentor junior engineers, supporting their professional growth

• Monitor project costs, resources, and delivery timelines

• Oversee quality assurance, technical accuracy, and risk management

• Contribute to business development and support with bid preparation
