UP (Unified Platform) consolidates data and technologies into a comprehensive solution, accelerating time to market. Optimizing decision-making and research, our platform simplifies implementing new ideas, enhancing our competitive edge.
UP - PI (Platform Infrastructure) creates and operates tooling to make building, running, and changing UP software more scalable, failure-proof, and intelligible. They bridge infrastructure and running services and balance developer autonomy with guard-rails. The team ensures that infrastructure underlying UP services is robust, resilient, and agile to adapt to evolving demands. UP - PI spearheads adoption of new tools and practices across the UP platform.
Build and operate shared services for dozens of software teams
Consolidate diverse and redundant approaches to common problems
Exercise stewardship over critical shared services.
Enable other teams to focus on business domains.
Support and teach users of the development platform you build
Influence outcomes through dozens of software teams
Embrace variety and challenge
Proficiency in at least one of Python, Go, Java, Ruby
Working knowledge of Kubernetes
Exposure to ETL systems at scale (e.g. Apache Airflow, Argo Workflows)
Exposure to streaming data platforms (e.g. Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ)
Working knowledge of networking fundamentals
Comfort deploying software to the cloud and on-premises
Record of accomplishment of empowering other engineers and teams
Exposure to modern observability practices
Experience troubleshooting important systems with limited time and information
