Work for a leading engineering consultancy specializing in Building Services. Join a dynamic team of experienced engineers and designers providing innovative and sustainable solutions for a range of projects across various sectors, in the UK and internationally.
The firm is independently owned by the Directors and employees, all based together in one office, supporting each other without corporate interference or distractions irrelevant to project delivery. They can provide technical support when needed, but otherwise trust employees to independently manage their workload.
As an Associate Public Health Engineer, you will be responsible for leading plumbing design solutions on complex projects from initial concept through to final delivery, representing the business in front of clients and architects, and providing mentorship and guidance to more junior team members.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the public health design on complex and large-scale UK and international projects across sectors including commercial, residential, education, healthcare, and industrial.
- Manage the delivery of public health design solutions in accordance with British Standards and relevant codes of practice.
- Produce detailed public health designs and specifications, ensuring compliance with performance and energy efficiency standards.
- Perform detailed calculations and simulations to validate design solutions.
- Attend site visits and meetings with clients, architects, and contractors.
- Collaborate with other engineers and team members to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
- Mentor junior engineers, supporting their development and providing technical guidance.
- Stay up-to-date with current and emerging public health design technologies and practices.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified.
- Minimum of 10 years’ UK experience in public health design engineering within the building services industry.
- Ideally Chartered Engineer status.
- Knowledge of British Standards and relevant codes of practice.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven leadership and team management abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
