The primary skillset we seek for the open Associate Software Engineer role is Java programming, focusing on core Java, algorithms, and design patterns, rather than configuration-based frameworks. We also work with supportive technologies like Maven, Git, and Jenkins. The teams own projects of all sizes, and members are encouraged to be involved in the whole lifecycle of software delivery, from design through to delivery of each feature. Mentoring will be provided, and we’re looking for someone with a genuine interest and desire to learn and grow as a Java developer. You will join a team of individuals who embrace diverse perspectives, aren’t afraid to push boundaries and try new ideas, and who are passionate about helping our customers and each other succeed. Collaborating with the team to deliver new features in a complex codebase at a high level of quality Writing tests to ensure the quality of our work is ready for production Actively participating in scrum ceremonies within an agile environment Applying and expanding your skills as necessary, as we value learning and growth
Your Qualifications
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to craft well-architected solutions Skills in at least one object-oriented programming language, preferably Java A strong focus on writing tests with a clear view of how and why different kinds of tests should be developed and run Demonstrated ability to learn new tools and languages on the job Java Maven, Git, and Jenkins Kubernetes Grafana
