About the Role
We’re looking for a talented and detail-driven 3D / 2D CAD Site Engineer to join our clients engineering team. In this role, you’ll support our Project Managers and Design Engineers to ensure all outsourced and internal design deliverables meet project requirements, client specifications, and industry standards.
You’ll play a key role in reviewing designs, identifying engineering solutions, and ensuring smooth integration between multiple disciplines and systems across complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with Design Engineers to ensure designs are fit for purpose and align with project requirements.
Conduct peer-to-peer reviews of subcontractor drawings and documentation.
Raise and manage Technical Queries (TQs) through to resolution.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Witness factory acceptance tests and support project sign-off activities.
Provide technical support and task scheduling information to Project Managers and Lead Engineers.
Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams across departments.
Produce and review multi-system construction and support drawings using tools such as:
AutoCAD MEP
AutoCAD Plant 3D
Navisworks
Point Cloud data
Clash detection and model integration
Key Aims & Objectives
Ensure outsourced designs meet project requirements and comply with customer standards.
Guarantee efficient and effective project delivery in line with defined scope.
Review and validate all issued designs and process documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Person Specification
Qualifications & Experience:
Degree, HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline.
Holds a valid CSCS card.
Experience in highly regulated industries (preferred).
Eligible to obtain SC Clearance as a minimum.
Experience working within an ISO 9001 environment (advantageous).
Skills & Knowledge:
Strong understanding of all phases of the project life cycle.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Ability to approach engineering challenges pragmatically and efficiently.
Awareness of PLC systems and electrical safety standards (18th Edition, BS EN 13849).
Competent in technical writing and producing detailed technical documentation.
Proficient in interpreting and applying technical specifications and industry standards.
