Automatic Door & Security Systems Engineer Package Overview:
* £28,000 to £40,000 per annum depending on experience
* Overtime and call-out allowance for out-of-hours work
* On-call rota for emergency response
* Company van provided
* Would suit a door engineer with a little bit of security knowledge or a security engineer with a little bit of door knowledge. Someone who is wanting to expand their skillset, training is provided
* Field-based, covering Manchester and the north west
* Full-time, Monday to Friday, on site 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

A reputable security and automatic door solutions company is seeking an Automatic Door & Security Systems Engineer to join its team. The role covers installation, servicing, maintenance, and fault-finding across automatic doors and security systems (CCTV, intruder alarms, access control).
The business values skilled, reliable, and customer-focused engineers, providing training and support to help staff develop across multiple systems while maintaining high workmanship standards.
Role Responsibilities – Automatic Door & Security Systems Engineer
* Install, service, and maintain automatic doors (sliding, swing, revolving)
* Install, service, and maintain security systems including CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control (training provided for cross-skilling)
* Perform fault-finding, repairs, and preventative maintenance
* Attend emergency call-outs as part of the rota
* Work independently on site and as part of a team
* Liaise professionally with clients and maintain accurate records
Required Skills & Experience – Automatic Door & Security Systems Engineer
* Some experience or knowledge of automatic doors installation and servicing (junior level acceptable, training provided)
* Willingness and ability to learn security systems
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and in a team
* Full UK driving licence
* Willingness to join out-of-hours call-out rota
* Comfortable travelling across north west England
* EN16005 / ADSA certification
* ECS / CSCS card
* IPAF qualification
* Electrical/electronic engineering qualifications (NVQ / City & Guilds / BTEC)
* Previous security system experience
