Elevation Recruitment Group is working in partnership with a leading manufacturing business to recruit an Automation & Control Engineer for their flagship site in Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to take ownership of industrial control systems (ICS) across a complex and high-performing site. You’ll play a critical role in maintaining, optimising and upgrading control systems to drive reliability, reduce downtime and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Lead all ICS-related activity onsite – including PLC, SCADA, HMIs and electrical control systems Troubleshoot, program and optimise systems (Siemens and Allen-Bradley platforms) Manage ICS vendor contracts, service agreements and performance Maintain accurate documentation, backups, PPM systems and electrical schematics Proactively identify obsolescence risks and drive upgrades or replacements Support CI and engineering projects to improve plant performance
