Overview

Role will be part of our Quality Engineering & Assurance (QE&A) Practice. With more than 650 clients across industry verticals and a global footprint, Cognizant QE&A practice is a recognized thought leader in quality engineering and assurance. As enterprises simplify, modernize and secure their legacy environments for the digital era, robust quality engineering and assurance is essential. Quality takes an end-to-end connotation and must straddle both legacy and digital systems. Cognizant QE&A is reimagining QE&A, employing an end-to-end ecosystem approach with intelligent and automated QA processes, aiming to increase quality and speed to promote faster business and technology change, as well as a better customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Automation testing - Cypress or any JavaScript based automation tools
• Cross browser testing (BrowserStack / LambdaTest)
• Integrating automation tests with CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitLab
• Agile/DevOps ways of working with good communication and direct collaboration with the client
• Test management tools such as Jira, XRAY, and Confluence
• Writing automation scripts in Postman or Ready API
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Accessibility Testing (WCAG 2.1) using any industry standard tool set

Key Skills and Experience

• QA experience with strong automation skills. Good communication skills and experience in delivering QA for an agile squad independently.
• Strong experience with Cypress or any JavaScript based automation tools
• Experience in cross browser testing (BrowserStack / LambdaTest)
• Proficiency in integrating automation tests with CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitLab
• Strong Agile/DevOps practices with good client communication
• Experience with test management tools such as Jira, XRAY, and Confluence
• Experience with writing automation scripts in Postman or Ready API
• In-depth knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Accessibility Testing (WCAG 2.1) experience using any industry standard tool set

Good to have

• Security awareness and understanding of secure coding practices
• Telecom domain experience
