Responsibilities

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Perform a wide array of aviation-related pavement and civil infrastructure evaluation, design, planning, and construction support services for airport clients under supervision.
  • Work on Civil and Military airport projects ranging from large airports to General Aviation airfields on behalf of the airport operator/owner or for Contractors under a Design and Build contract.
  • Support in the preparation of proposals.
  • Implement project Quality Assurance/Quality Control.
  • Preparation of engineering design reports, project definition documents, construction plans, works programmes under supervision and contribute towards contract documents / technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with design teams consisting of multi-discipline design engineers and technicians.

If this role sounds rewarding, we are looking for candidates who can demonstrate some of the following:

Technical Experience

  • Civil design, planning, and construction support experience within an airport environment; exposure to large-scale aviation projects is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of civil aviation standards and recommended practices (e.g., ICAO, EASA, CAA, FAA, MAA).
  • Understanding of DMRB or highway civil engineering design.
  • Knowledge of drainage design and related infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with NEC3/4 contracts.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, ideally with experience using Microsoft Project.
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, preferably with Civil 3D expertise.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Professional qualification: Membership (or working towards membership) of the Institution of Civil Engineers or a similar qualification.
