Job Advertisement – Experienced Part 21 Electrical / Avionics Engineer (Hybrid, UK)

An established aerospace engineering organisation is seeking an Experienced Part 21 Electrical / Avionics Engineer to join its UK Design Office team. This is a hybrid role with opportunities to work across major international projects in commercial aircraft modification and certification.

The Role

You will play a key part in delivering large aircraft modifications, supporting compliance with EASA Part 21 requirements. The position involves:

• Leading and contributing to design activities for electrical and avionics systems.
• Supporting certification activities, including documentation and on-wing test witnessing.
• Preparing engineering data such as wiring diagrams, routing installation drawings, and service bulletins.
• Producing compliance documentation, including load analysis, safety assessments, and test reports.
• Representing the organisation in customer meetings (ITCM, PDR, CDR, FAI) and providing support during project embodiment.

Occasional UK and international travel may be required.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Electrical, Avionics, Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an EASA Part 21J Design Organisation (or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of regulatory and airworthiness standards (EASA, CS-25, JAR-25, FAR-25).
• Proven experience in large or complex aircraft modifications.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet compliance requirements.
• Previous or current Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) status is highly desirable.
