AWS Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Manchester, predominantly remote

Duration: Contract until end of March 2026

Inside IR35 - Rate: up to £475 per day

Our public sector client is looking for an AWS Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer for a 6-month contract. You will design and implement robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions across AWS and Azure cloud environments, as well as hybrid on-premises platforms (Windows/Linux, VMware).

You will work openly and collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, including third-party service providers, to provide expertise and develop architectural solutions.

This role will be instrumental in driving their technology strategy — ensuring their systems are resilient, efficient, and prepared for future challenges.

Key experience required:

• Proven expertise in AWS and Azure cloud platforms, with strong knowledge of hybrid environments.
• Strong background in Windows/Linux systems and VMware virtualization.
• Solid understanding of cloud architecture best practices, governance, and security.
• Experience translating business requirements into scalable technical designs.
• A forward-looking mindset with the ability to identify new opportunities for innovation and efficiency.
• Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to influence and guide cross-functional teams.

Candidates will be predominantly remote, with 1-2 days per month visit to the Manchester office.
