Data Engineer - Azure | Permanent | Hybrid (London or Manchester)

We're hiring for a Data Engineer to join a forward-thinking team building out a modern data platform on Azure. It’s a great opportunity to work hands-on with cloud-native tools like Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Logic Apps and more, designing and building scalable, automated pipelines that deliver real business value.

This is a true end-to-end engineering role: from ingestion through to transformation, modelling and delivery, all within a supportive, cross-functional team setup.

You’ll be responsible for:

Building and maintaining robust Azure data pipelines
Ingesting and transforming data from multiple sources into the enterprise platform
Supporting data quality, monitoring, and optimisation
Collaborating with architects, analysts, BI teams, and product owners to deliver clean, connected data

What we’re looking for:

Strong experience with Azure data tools (ADF, Databricks, Synapse, Logic Apps)
Solid SQL and either Python, PySpark or Scala
Background in ETL, data warehousing (ideally Kimball), and BI
Understanding of data quality frameworks, monitoring, and DevOps concepts
Bonus if you’ve worked with Power BI, MDM (e.g. Semarchy), or tools like Purview
