Systems Engineer (Cloud / Platform) – Fully Remote (UK)

Responsibilities

• Building tools and automation to make infrastructure more efficient, resilient, and secure.
• Managing and evolving Kubernetes clusters (AKS) with a strong focus on automation, monitoring, and security.
• Partnering with feature teams to translate product requirements into scalable infrastructure solutions.
• Leveraging Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Pulumi) to manage Azure resources.
• Contributing to knowledge sharing, mentoring, and process improvements across engineering.

What we’re looking for

• A background as a Software Developer (C#, Python, or similar) who has transitioned into DevOps / Platform / Infrastructure Engineering. (This is essential.)
• Experience supporting highly available, multi-region production infrastructure.
• Strong Kubernetes expertise, ideally with AKS in production.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, etc.) and cloud (Azure preferred).
• Clear communication, problem-solving, and a collaborative mindset.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience scripting with Azure CLI or PowerShell.
• Knowledge of observability tooling (e.g., DataDog).
• Understanding of SQL Server, Azure SQL, or ElasticSearch.
