A leading consultancy is seeking a Technical Azure Security Engineer to join its internal technology team. This is a delivery-focused, in-house role with a strong emphasis on secure engineering practices and alignment with central security governance.

Key Responsibilities:

Secure CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) across Azure environments.
Lead on container, API, and web application security, including secure code reviews.
Support threat modelling, vulnerability management, and penetration testing.
Integrate logging into SIEM, support SOC monitoring, and incident response.
Coach engineering teams on cloud security principles and manage audit-related actions.

Essential Skills:

Deep hands-on experience with Azure security controls.
Strong knowledge of IaC and pipeline security (Terraform, Git).
Expertise in container security (Docker, Kubernetes) and API/web app security.
Proficient in scripting or coding (Java, Python, or Golang).
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Desirable:

Azure certifications (AZ-500, SC-100, SC-200, SC-300).
CISSP or equivalent certifications.

Ideal Background: Candidates with experience in enterprise cloud security, platform security, or DevSecOps within large-scale product or platform teams will be well-suited. A consulting background is not required.
