Junior Azure Cloud Security Engineer – We currently have a vacancy for a dynamic individual to join our client delivery business. Hybrid variable London.

What you'll be doing

Using your Azure experience, you will support our clients by:

  • Working within agreed timelines on Cloud Security; Discovery, Design, Implementations & Configuration
  • Leveraging core competence and industry standards, frameworks and good practices to review, enable, validate or define client Cloud Security outcomes
  • Identify client needs and drivers for Cloud Security technology adoption
  • Draft technical security requirements, functional & non-functional
  • Identify gaps, issues and failings in client security designs and configurations
  • Define Cloud Security Architectures (High Level / Low Level)
  • Work with other teams to agree implementation plans and effort
  • Define appropriate metrics and processes to achieve client objectives and targets
  • Set up test, development and production Cloud Security environments
  • Implement and configure Cloud Security technologies
  • Establish robust practices for the protection of Cloud systems
  • Oversee, evaluate, and support discovery and audits to extract findings
  • Documentation, validation, assessment, and authorisation
  • Collaborate with GRC consultants and Service & Solution Architects in securing products and services

What experience you'll bring

We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals who are eager to grow their careers in cloud security. If you have some hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, whether from a systems administration role, junior engineering position, or personal projects, we’d love to hear from you. You don’t need to tick every box; we value potential, curiosity, and a willingness to learn. Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • Basic familiarity with Azure services, especially security features like Azure Key Vault, Azure Active Directory (AAD), Sentinel, or Log Analytics
  • Some exposure to cloud environments, either through professional experience or self-directed learning
  • A foundational understanding of security principles, such as identity and access management, secure configurations, or compliance policies
  • Experience working with Windows or Linux systems in any capacity
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • A desire to develop your skills in cloud security architecture, implementation, and governance
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving
  • Willingness to pursue certifications (e.g., Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, Security certifications) as part of your growth
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and, ideally, to obtain UK Government Security Clearance (SC), if required for certain projects
