We are looking for a proactive Software Engineer to help build our Defi platform. You will play a critical role in building financial and crypto-native products, services and APIs. In this role, you will contribute to the team\'s success by writing clean and testable code, eagerly participating in design reviews, and embracing a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

What you will do

• Build on our DeFi wallet platform, expanding support for multiple networks
• Develop and integrate APIs from new and existing services, to our various product applications
• Be part of a dedicated engineering team committed to applying the highest standards and shipping secure and performant systems
• Work in the core of Blockchain.com’s solution, interacting directly with multiple blockchains and internal services
• Work extensively with open source technologies (Docker, Kafka, PostgreSQL)
• Ensure security is at the forefront of everything you do
• Collaborate within interdisciplinary teams to continually deliver high-quality products to users
• Optimize existing systems for scalability, extensibility and performance while building reusable, modular code for use across Blockchain’s products

What you will need

• A curious and motivated engineer with interest in the crypto space and a willingness to grow in a fast-paced environment
• The ability to navigate novel problems and find effective solutions
• Innate curiosity; proficiency in a few programming languages; strong advocate for engineering best practices and learning new technologies
• A pragmatic approach to developing clean solutions to complex problems
• Consistency in test coverage, technical documentation, and effective monitoring
• Full ownership of projects you work on
• Preferably experience in at least one JVM-based language (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Scala) or willingness to learn these languages
• Understanding of how blockchain systems work or strong interest in blockchain or smart contracts
