Hybrid – Central London (2 days per fortnight)

We are hiring for a Backend & Integrations Engineer to join a fast-growing AI-powered SaaS company. This is a hands-on role working across backend services, data workflows, and system integrations - with the added opportunity to champion AI-assisted development within the engineering team.

You will be building Python APIs, workflow logic, and external system connectors, often starting from automation-generated code and taking it to production-ready quality. Alongside this, you will embed AI-powered workflows, set guardrails, and mentor others - helping the wider team ship high-quality code faster.

This is more than a backend role: it’s a chance to be part of a team pushing the boundaries of automation and AI in software engineering.

Responsibilities

• Build Python APIs, workflow logic, and external system connectors
• Develop automation-generated code and take it to production-ready quality
• Embed AI-powered workflows and set guardrails
• Mentor others and help the team ship high-quality code faster
• Champion AI-assisted development within the engineering team

Tech environment

• Python, FastAPI, gRPC, SQL
