About the Role

We’re hiring a Backend Software Engineer to help build and scale the platform's core infrastructure and APIs.

You’ll work closely with the Head of Engineering and a cross-functional team to deliver robust, high-performance backend services. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, values clean, testable code, and is excited about contributing to a high-growth product.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend features using Python and modern frameworks
• Develop scalable APIs and contribute to a microservices-based architecture
• Translate product requirements into technical solutions
• Contribute to architecture discussions, testing, and code reviews
• Ensure backend systems are performant, reliable, and secure
• Work in a DevOps culture with CI/CD and automated testing
• Mentor junior team members and help establish engineering best practices

What You Bring

• 4+ years of backend or full-stack software development experience
• Strong experience with Python and building APIs
• Familiarity with TDD, CI/CD, and refactoring best practices
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Ability to break down complex problems into simple, scalable solutions
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• (Bonus) Exposure to frontend development (JavaScript/TypeScript)
• (Bonus) Experience working in microservices and Kubernetes environments
