Job Title: Baggage Engineer

Location: London / Stansted Airport

Rate: Negotiable

We are supporting a major airport transformation programme and are seeking an experienced Baggage Engineer to join the delivery team. This is a key role within the Stansted Transformation Programme, encompassing the Hold Baggage Screening (HBS), Early Baggage Storage (EBS), and Shoreline check-in installations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support delivery of baggage systems from pre-RIBA Stage 3 through to final implementation.
• Review and interrogate capacity modelling outputs to ensure systems meet future demand.
• Provide technical assurance and ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
• Monitor progress, risks, and issues across the baggage workstream, escalating concerns as required.
• Engage confidently with stakeholders, challenging assumptions and data to ensure operational readiness.

Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in baggage system design and delivery, ideally within a single terminal operation.
• Strong engineering or construction background; engineering qualifications desirable.
• Ability to interpret and challenge capacity modelling and operational data.
• Experience working on airport infrastructure projects in live operational environments.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Security Requirements:

• Ideally holds CTC clearance and airside pass eligibility.
