The role requires providing technical support and guidance to clients, customers, and colleagues, as well as delivering solutions to complex BMS and third-party system issues.\n\nOverview\n\nA key senior team player, self-motivated and solutions-focused.\n\nRecognised as a technical point of reference for colleagues and clients.\n\nProvides training, mentoring, and supervision to junior engineers.\n\nDelivers support across a wide range of conventional and DDC control systems.\n\nOften acts in a supervisory capacity, offering advice, solutions, and technical expertise.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nSupport service management with scheduling, training, and coaching of engineers.\n\nConduct energy surveys and audits.\n\nService, maintain, and commission BMS systems.\n\nProduce detailed service/commissioning reports, test results, and assessments.\n\nIntegrate third-party systems into BMS (using Modbus, M-Bus, or BACnet devices).\n\nProvide accurate updates to management on work status and location.\n\nSupervise or instruct additional trades and engineers on-site.\n\nDevelop or back-engineer software strategies.\n\nInstall, modify, and demonstrate supervisor graphics.\n\nAdvise clients on system improvements, cost savings, and efficiency measures.\n\nQuote for replacement or upgrade works.\n\nProvide energy-saving solutions and develop new applications.\n\nMentor and train junior engineers.\n\nAttributes Required\n\nSelf-motivated, reliable, and trustworthy.\n\nAble to work independently with minimal supervision.\n\nStrong fault-finding, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.\n\nExcellent communication and reporting skills.\n\nLogical thinker with the ability to “see the bigger picture.”\n\nIn-depth knowledge of both BEMS and conventional controls.\n\nAbility to read schematic drawings and identify applications.\n\nPunctual, courteous, and professional in presentation.\n\nWorking Pattern\n\nPrimarily field-based, with standard working hours of 8:00am – 4:30pm.\n\nExpected to be on-site by 8:00am within the North West and Yorkshire regions.\n\nTravel time considered for sites outside these regions.\n\nOvertime may be required in specific circumstances (paid accordingly).\n\nOvernight stays provided for sites requiring travel of more than 3 hours.\n\nOccasional office attendance required for reporting, training, and updates
