Role Overview
My client is seeking a skilled and experienced BMS Project Engineer. You will play a critical role in the delivery of small to medium-sized projects, including system upgrades, PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance), and reactive maintenance for a diverse range of clients across sectors such as commercial, education, and leisure.
This position involves both hands-on engineering and project leadership responsibilities. You will manage BMS software strategies, collaborate with Project Managers, and lead small teams to ensure timely and effective project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and deliver BMS project works from design through commissioning and handover. Manage and execute BMS installation, upgrade, and optimisation projects. Perform planned/reactive maintenance and support energy-saving strategy deployment via BMS platforms. Develop and modify software strategies across Trend, Tridium, and other BMS platforms. Conduct RAMS reviews and maintain strict Health & Safety compliance on all sites. Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution. Oversee installation and commissioning works, ensuring alignment with budgets and timelines. Stay current with BMS technologies and support continuous improvement initiatives. Candidate Experience
Strong experience with BMS systems—Trend (IQ Vision desirable), Tridium, and ideally Schneider Electrical or Electronic Engineering qualification (HNC/ONC or equivalent). Proven ability to solve complex problems and develop innovative technical solutions. Excellent communication skills with a client-focused, collaborative attitude.
