Key Responsibilities: Work with existing and new bridges and civil / marine structures across a range of materials and forms, superstructure, substructure and articulation elements. Participate in the early project stages, including scoping, specifying and interpreting surveys, inspection and investigative works, optioneering and scheme design. Undertake and manage detailed design work, including modelling, calculations and overseeing drawing production. Bridge inspections and monitoring to Local Authority requirements. The Person Hold a bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (a master's degree is an advantage). Have at least four years' experience in a design office working on bridge schemes across masonry, concrete and steel. Be confident in inspection, assessment and design, with excellent technical and problem-solving skills. Live locally to Hull or be prepared to relocate.
