  • Work with the wider broadcast team to communicate unilateral requirements to technical providers and stakeholders, including internet and comms facilities for host and unilateral bookings.

  • Future-proofing and long-term planning of broadcast operations, including managing over 4,000sqm of broadcast production and technical spaces, as well as expansion into new venues.

  • Provide advisory support to other areas of the Marketing & Commercial department, where broadcast or technical expertise is required.

  • Represent the organisation at broadcast conferences and industry events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead year-round planning and coordination with all technical and production suppliers for the host broadcast, communicating evolving requirements for host and unilateral broadcasters.

  • Manage the rig and de-rig of broadcast overlay, including unilateral broadcaster suppliers, and feed all relevant information to the Venue Operations team using project management tools.

  • Control on- and off-site international distribution via satellite, fibre, and IP of all live feeds across multiple courts and supplementary channels.

  • Troubleshoot requests and technical challenges that are inevitable in delivering a world-class international event involving over 2,500 broadcast personnel.

Requirements

  • Significant experience leading technical broadcast teams at major sporting or live events.

  • Ability to manage stakeholders effectively to ensure market-leading outcomes.

  • Excellent industry and supplier contacts.

  • Skilled at building productive relationships both internally and externally, demonstrating sensitivity to the agenda and priorities of others.

  • Collaborative, consultative, and decisive leadership style with integrity.

  • Brings innovative ideas and solutions, with awareness of inclusivity and environmental impacts of broadcast solutions.

  • Strong understanding of resource and staffing implications of editorial requirements, ensuring alignment before projects commence.

  • Anticipates and manages risks, prioritises effectively, and sustains high performance under pressure.

  • Good knowledge of Health & Safety considerations in broadcast environments; familiarity with CDM regulations is desirable.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with strong IT skills including CAD design.
