Job Description:

The client
Our client is a well-established and privately owned M&E Building Services design and build contractor, with a proven track record delivering award-winning design and build solutions across the UK. With particular expertise in complex refurbishment and new-build projects within the education, commercial, healthcare and heritage sectors, they have built a reputation for high-quality, sustainable engineering design. As part of their continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join their growing design team.

The role
Following a series of high-profile project wins, including several prestigious schemes in the education and public sector space, the business is now looking to expand its mechanical design team with the addition of a Mechanical Design Engineer. Based out of their regional office, you'll be joining a forward-thinking team involved in the full project lifecycle - from concept through to detailed design and delivery. Youll work closely, in a small team, with senior engineers and project leads on a range of technically challenging and rewarding schemes, many of which are award-nominated for innovation and sustainability.

We would love to speak with you about this opportunity in more detail, as it offers the chance to be involved in sector-leading projects while progressing your career within a supportive and dynamic environment.

The requirements
To succeed in this role, youll ideally have previous experience within a building services consultancy or contractor design team and be confident working on a variety of projects - from education and blue-light buildings to listed heritage refurbishments. A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services (or equivalent) is preferred, and you may already be working towards Chartership or have a desire to do so. The right candidate will be confident producing designs to a high technical standard, comfortable engaging with clients and other stakeholders, and looking to take ownership of their own schemes.

The package
You can expect a competitive salary ranging from £45,000 to £55,000 depending on experience. In addition, the company offers flexible hybrid working, generous annual leave, support towards Chartership, and a collaborative, down-to-earth culture with clear opportunities for career progression. You'll also benefit from a professional subscription paid annually, private healthcare, and involvement in a varied and award-winning portfolio of work.
