Mechanical Design Engineer (BUILDING SERVICES)

Our client is a long-standing company that specialise in the design, supply and installation of an extensive range of electrical and mechanical services for the industrial, educational and commercial sectors. They have experienced consistent growth and as a result, they are now seeking an experienced Building Services Mechanical Design Engineer to join an already busy department.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for the design specification, and coordination of mechanical building services, including HVAC and Plumbing.
* Maintain a strong awareness of best practice, regulatory requirements.
* Plant selection and sizing in line with specifications/schedules
* Pipework and ductwork sizing in line with latest regulations
* Use thermal analysis software to calculate heat losses and heat gains
* Attend meetings as part of a team and individually to ascertain clients’ requirements
* Attend project / site meetings.
* Carry out site surveys.
Qualifications
* Mechanical building service design experience
* HNC in Building Services related qualification
* Excellent attitude and approach to work.
* Highly self-reliant, motivated and enthusiastic. Approachable, open and able to work as part of a team. Excellent customer care and interpersonal skills. Commitment to quality and attention to detail.
