We are looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer to create and improve indicators and dashboards related to transportation, stable operation and efficiency of operations using AWS and Amazon internal tools.ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement data pipelines, reports, and dashboards to deliver metrics and insights that drive business decisionsBuild and maintain automated reporting solutions while ensuring data quality and reliabilityPartner with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specificationsDevelop and maintain documentation for data processes, metrics definitions, and analytical solutionsCreate and optimize SQL queries and scripts for data extraction and transformationCollaborate with data engineering teams to improve data infrastructure and visualization platformsA day in the lifeYou begin your day participating in business reviews to stay aligned with critical network metrics and performance indicators. You collaborate with strategy & ops teams to understand key analytics challenges and build sustainable data solutions. You develop and maintain data pipelines, create insightful dashboards, and ensure data quality across systems. Working closely with stakeholders, you translate business requirements into technical solutions. You take business trips within and outside Japan as needed to enhance your skills and validate solutions. When analytical challenges emerge, you leverage your technical expertise to deliver effective solutions.About the teamAMXL JP team is a single threaded organization that owns Amazon's end-to-end Heavy & Bulky (H&B) logistics network with our willing and equally customer obsessed partners, offering shipping, service & support for consumers and companies in a safe, reliable, seamless, standardized, and sustainable way that surprises and delights our customers. Our delivery partners are experienced in H&B deliveries, providing special handling services such as Room of Choice Delivery, Installation/Assembly and Recycling/Haul-Away.Our team is made up of a diverse group of individuals across operations, supply chain, tech, finance, planning, customer experience, business intelligence and program management that work closely and collaboratively across Amazon to constantly improve and scale our operations, always insisting on the highest standards and obsessing over delivering bigger smiles for our customers.Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in sciences, engineering, finance or equivalent- 5+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modelingPreferred Qualifications- Experience with forecasting and statistical analysis- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift- Experience developing and presenting recommendations of new metrics allowing better understanding of the performance of the businessOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
