The Role
Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are seeking a skilled and motivated CAD & Additive Manufacturing Engineer to join a team in Gloucester. This role offers the chance to work at the forefront of 3D printing and product development, supporting a wide range of industries with innovative manufacturing solutions.
As part of the CAD department, you will be responsible for preparing and modifying customer CAD files, assessing their suitability for additive manufacturing, and operating a variety of AM technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Review CAD files for suitability with SLA, DLP, MSLA, and FDM processes, providing accurate build time estimates.
Modify and repair CAD models for manufacture using tools such as Materialise Magics, Autodesk Powershape, or PTC Creo.
Prepare CAD files for AM through orientation, support creation, and slicing.
Create fibre strategies for FDM processes to ensure part strength and durability.
Operate, monitor, and unload multiple AM machines, performing minor maintenance and calibration.
Post-process parts, including support removal, washing, and curing.
Provide CAD support for the polyurethane department by preparing tooling inserts and SLA masters.
Create 2D DXF/DWG files from 3D models for additional applications....
