Based at our Glasgow site, you’ll lead the charge in optimizing calibration systems, driving process improvements, and ensuring our products meet the highest quality and safety standards. If you’re passionate about instrumentation, process control, and making a tangible impact in a dynamic chemical manufacturing environment — we want to hear from you.Key responsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and maintain calibration systems and schedules in line with ISO9001, ISO14001, and IATF16949:2016 standardsPerform and oversee calibration of process instrumentsAnalyse calibration data, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions or process improvementsSpecify, purchase, and qualify new instrumentation and control equipmentTroubleshoot calibration and process control issues in collaboration with production and quality teamsSupport process automation systems, including Allen Bradley Logix, Siemens S7 PLCs, GE IFIX SCADA, and associated HMIsMaintain thorough documentation of calibration activities, reports, and control system changesDeliver training to operations and maintenance personnel on calibration procedures and control systemsEnsure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in all calibration and control activitiesMonitor and evaluate emerging calibration technologies for potential implementationQualificationsBEng/MEng/BSc/MSc degree in Electrical, Process Control, or related engineering disciplineProven experience in calibration and process control engineering within manufacturing, automotive or chemical process industriesStrong understanding of pneumatic and electro-mechanical instrumentation, including weighing, flow, level, and temperature devicesFamiliarity with analytical instruments and applicable international standardsHands-on experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, and process data toolsProficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systemsExperience in leading CI projects within own field (calibrations and controls)Experience with working with teams across site to get projects to completionExcellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively across teamsBenefits & CultureCompetitive salary and additional benefit packageSupportive and dynamic, yet down-to-earth work environmentA flat organization with short lines in which ownership and initiatives are valuedWe support the development of our employees in the form of on-the-job learning, training and coursesAbout NORIT Activated CarbonNORIT Activated Carbon is one of the global leaders and produces various qualities of activated carbon in its powder and granular form.
