Reporting to the Head of Network & Operations, the Network Engineers are responsible for supporting the evolution of the company\'s Network from its current test lab environment at their datacenter through to the upcoming network deployment and the continuous expansion plan. The network is multi-vendor and white-label and is at the leading edge of next generation network design. The role is suited for highly technical network engineers with previous experience as a senior network engineer within an ISP or Carrier environment. Ideally, you will have significant network engineering experience to at least CCNP/JNCP level and will be striving for CIIE within a carrier/ISP environment.This role is probably not suitable for an Enterprise based NW Engineer.ResponsibilitiesTaking engineering accountability for this ingenious start-up\'s Next Generation ISP/Carrier network throughout its evolutionHandling day to day Network Management tasks such as Troubleshooting Network IssuesConfiguring network hardware and related productsOccasionally visiting the datacenters to install hardwareMonitoring and Improving Network Performance, utilizing automation where possiblePlanning for network growth activitiesEnsuring ComplianceEstablishing Reliable Network SecurityHelping to ensure continuous evolution, delivery and improvement practices as the network evolves and growsSupport and maintain the core, distribution and access networksUndertake ad-hoc projects and other activities as required to support the network deploymentSupport Network activity within Lab and Deployment environmentsSupport the NW Architects to build, configure and troubleshoot the physical NW within the test environment hosted within our Data CentresEnsure stable and reliable network services are maintainedUndertake day-to-day network performance monitoringAs the network evolves it will require continuous network troubleshooting and fault analysis; hardware troubleshooting and repairHandle trouble ticket generation and response; carrier interface and escalationsGet involved with deployment and maintenance of network monitoring, analysis and reporting toolsUndertake analysis of problems and effective fault diagnosis and system recoveryCollaborative engagement with Network Operations and Network Architecture teams to report progress and technical requirementsNetwork Management tasksProvide Network Support that includes operation and change management across all aspects of the networkApplication of configuration changes via our change control systems and processesNetwork design activity, including HLD, LLD documentation and subsequent implementationInstallation of network hardware and software including onsite network locationsUpgrades and patches and configuration tuningRepresenting the business via engagement with vendor and industry colleaguesContinuous evolution, delivery and improvement practicesMaintain, develop, and implement new technology to improve and enhance services deliveredMonitor and test backups of all servers and configure data for all network equipmentOptimise network capacity and reliabilityDevelop and maintain sound network security practices on all network equipmentSupport and maintain the core, distribution and access networksDevelop sustainable solutions to handle complex issuesWork in collaboration with the network architects, network engineering and security teamsIdentify and resolve network problemsTake care of the networking, routing and interconnectivityRoll out innovative ideas and programmes of works to help reduce network issues #J-18808-Ljbffr
