The practices are well-established and were formed over 20 years ago; our senior staff have over 30 years of experience in delivering innovative design solutions.We are a growing company with an ever-expanding workload and are keen to expand both the Derby and Ipswich branches. We are looking for talented individuals to share this journey and develop their careers with us.As a Chartered Engineer, you'll work on a variety of exciting projects across a range of residential and commercial developments. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call 01283 520495.ResponsibilitiesWork on a variety of residential and commercial developments as part of a close-knit team.Engage with architects, clients and other project stakeholders to ensure design alignment.Manage multiple small and medium-sized projects from concept to construction, including client communication, quoting and invoicing, site visits, meetings and inspections to ensure design compliance.Lead and support a growing team of engineers on the path to Chartership.RequirementsChartered or Near-Chartered Structural Engineer (MIStructE or equivalent), with at least 5 years post-graduate experience.Ability to design to Eurocodes in steel, concrete, timber, and masonry. Experience in British Standards is desirable.Proficient in AutoCAD (Revit desirable), with the ability to draft designs to construction level.Fit in with a small, friendly team and manage multiple projects concurrently.Experience in directly dealing with clients, including quoting, invoicing, and conducting site visits, meetings and inspections.Able to manage a small but growing team of engineers on the route to Chartership.Experience with MasterSeries or Tekla Structural Designer.Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to produce clear reports.Full UK driving licence.Permanent right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available for this position.What we offerVaried and interesting workload with a constant flow of small and medium-sized projects of varying complexity.Real opportunity to influence and grow with the practice.25 days holiday per annum plus Bank Holidays, increasing with length of service.37.5 hours a week with flexible working hours.Competitive salary based on experience to be agreed.Offices in Derby and Ipswich with cross-team collaboration on projects nationwide.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionEngineering and Information Technology
