Chemical Charge Design Engineer Location: Glascoed, Pontypool, BAE Systems Working Arrangements: 3 days a week onsite Contract: 6-12 Months (37 hours per week) Hourly Rate: £30 Umbrella (INSIDE IR35) TBC
Role Overview: Join our propelling charge development team as a Charge Design Engineer. This role focuses on designing, developing, testing, and evaluating propelling charges for new munitions products and maintaining legacy systems.
Essential Requirements: Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering. 3+ years in the Chemical Engineering industry. Experience with hazard identification and risk assessment. Proven ability to manage projects and meet deadlines. Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office). Excellent written and verbal communication. Desirable Skills: Knowledge of gun propellants and the design process. Experience in mathematical modelling and systems engineering. Advanced data analysis and report writing skills.
